Special Populations

Questions or comments? Send mail to NESEC.

People with special needs, such as the elderly and/or disabled, may require additional assistance during an emergency.

If you have special needs, please contact your local emergency management office and notify them of your situation. If necessary, special arrangements may be made to provide you with assistance in the event of a disaster.

Also, in the event of a power outage, your local utility should be advised that you rely on life supporting medical equipment.

Do not wait until a disaster happens. Make preparations today by calling your local emergency management office and/or utility.

Prepared by the Northeast States Emergency Consortium.
