Shedding those extra pounds may be a lot easier if you keep track of what you eat each day.

TheDailyPlate.com is a new Web site that tracks each meal that you eat. Once you create a free account, you can log on to the site to search for the foods that you ate for the day.

Click on the "I Ate This" link to add the item to your virtual plate. The site will calculate the nutrition content for each item and it will show a running total of your calories, carbs and fat for the day.

There's a tool on the site that will calculate the number of calories you should be eating a day to reach your target weight. Each time you add a food that you ate, the site will show you how many calories you have left to eat for the day.

If you have a favorite Web site you'd like to see featured, or suggestions for a story idea, click here to e-mail Jamy your suggestions.
