If you think meeting people online who have the same interests as you is like finding a needle in a haystack, there's a new, free networking service.

Others Online is run through your computer's Internet Explorer toolbar. As you browse the Web, it will show you other users who have the same surfing habits.

To get started, you'll need to download and install OthersOnline. Register a name and pick the sites that you most visit. You can add key words like hobbies, names of favorite bands and movies.

Then, browse the Web like you normally would and it will show you other people with the same interests.

You'll be able to read their profiles, see when they are online and connect with them through e-mail or instant messaging.
