Why waste time waiting around for your subway, train or bus that's been delayed? Now, there's a Web site that may help take some of the hassle out of your next commute.

MyTransitUpdates.com gives commuters a place to share news about MBTA train delays through PDAs, iPods and even computers.

To get started, you'll need to type in your e-mail to create a user ID and password. Then, select your schedule, and add the devices that you want to receive updates on.

In Boston, the system services the subways, commuter rails, buses and water transportation schedules. The site is not affiliated with the MBTA, which is planning it's own transit-update system.
