SwapAGift.com gives consumers a place to list their unwanted gift cards to swap or sell to other members.

Just register with the site to post your gift card and list the merchants you'd rather have a gift card for.

If someone wants your card, the site will send you an e-mail with what the other member has to swap. If you'd rather sell your gift card -- you can choose the asking price.

If you don't want to be bothered selling the gift card on your own, the Web site will buy gift cards at 70 percent of the card's value.

It costs $3.99 to list a gift card for 150 days.
