Resource Helps Athletes Find Playing Time

If you know a high school athlete searching for a way to get noticed by a college coach, here's a Web site that may help get them some playing time.

AthletesAdvance.com is a free resource that connects student athletes with Division II and Division III college coaches and recruiters. The site gives teens a place to list bother their athletic and academic accomplishments.

Once registered, students can enter, edit, track and compare athletic stats for dozens of sports. They can then have their high school coach log on to verify the stats entered in a student's profile.

Students can search the site's database of colleges and coaches to find the program that is right for them.

For all students, there's a link to search for scholarships, with tips on how not to get scammed when looking for awards.

The site was founded in Boston by a group of former collegiate athletes to give students greater exposure and catch the eye of college recruiters.
