BOSTON -- Your boss may not be happy about this: instant-messaging at work is becoming even more popular. A survey from America Online shows instant messaging is up 19 percent this year and is on pace to surpass e-mail. But it's not just about personal chatting; more people are using it to conduct business and talk with customers.
The survey found Boston was one of the cities with the heaviest amount of instant messaging taking place.
