The military has found an answer to YouTube.

Military OneSource has developed the Web site "TroopTube," which is a secure site where deployed serviceman and women can share videos with their family and friends back home. Friends and family living in the U.S. can also upload videos to share with those stationed overseas.

According to the Web site, the videos can be shared privately or they can be accessed by other users. For security reasons, the videos are reviewed before they are posted to the site.

The Web site is catching on with military members and supporters, including Gen. David Petraeus.

Petraeus left the following video message for troops on the Web site's home page.

"Hey troops, this is Gen. David Petraeus saying thanks for your tremendous work in Iraq, Afghanistan and around the world. You really are the new greatest generation."

Military OneSource is a program run through the Department of Defense.
