Jamy Pombo, Senior Web Editor

Boston Channel Web editor Jamy Pombo has been with the Web site since its launch in March 2000, and started "The Click" reports for WCVB-TV in January 2005.

Pombo's work at TheBostonChannel.com contributed to the site being awarded the prestigious Edward R. Murrow award for Best TV News Web site in the New England region in 2002, 2003 and 2004 by the Radio and Television News Directors Association. (RTNDA)

She worked as a writer and production assistant for the NewsCenter 5 and for Hearst-Argyle's "Healthy Kids" program.

Before joining WCVB, Pombo worked as a sales and real estate agent in the Boston area and as a press intern for U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts.

A native of New Jersey, Pombo attended the Boston University College of Communication where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mass Communication with an emphasis on broadcast journalism. She was also honored with the National Honor Society Golden Key award and the 1995 Lumont Award for Best Television Advertising.

She lives in the Boston area.
