Shayna Seymour

Shayna Seymour joined WCVB-TV’s award-winning nightly newsmagazine, Chronicle, in April 2006 as a reporter and producer.

Prior to joining WCVB, Seymour was anchor of the morning and noon newscasts and general assignment reporter at WGGB-TV, Springfield. While at the ABC affiliate, Seymour honed her reportorial skills covering breaking news events, education and health issues. Her experience covering education was invaluable in scoring several exclusive interviews with renowned comedian and philanthropist Bill Cosby. Seymour produced and reported an on-going series of interviews with Cosby on his efforts to educate and make a difference in the lives of minority students, including four from the Springfield area whose college education he is funding. She has also co-hosted the MDA Jerry Lewis Telethon for WGGB.

Seymour launched her broadcast career at WSTM-TV, Syracuse. Prior to that, she was employed in the corporate world.

A native of Amherst, Mass., Seymour received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Spelman College and Master of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University. She currently resides in the Boston area.
