NewsCenter 5 Launches 'Team 5 Investigates'

BOSTON -- WCVB-TV's Team 5 Investigates, is a nine-person unit dedicated to uncovering news, developing stories over an extended period and digging deeper into the top news of the day.The dynamic team of reporters includes:Lead political reporter Janet Wu is known for her incisive interviews exposing government corruption and bureaucratic scandals. She has been at the forefront of civic issues and events from controversial ballot issues to local, state and national campaigns, conventions and elections. Natick, Mass., native Susan Wornick, an award-winning reporter and anchor, has become synonymous with consumer problems. She has been a tireless advocate on behalf of viewers dealing with corrupt corporations, businesses and government agencies. Wornick gained national recognition for risking incarceration to protect a source during a police corruption case. Kelley Tuthill , a Massachusetts native, has contributed to the award-winning coverage of significant local and national events, including the death of John F. Kennedy, Jr., the disputed 2000 presidential election and the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston. Rhondella Richardson's broadcast career began locally as a student at Northeastern University. After stints as a reporter and producer at several Boston area stations, including WCVB, Richardson worked at KING-TV, Seattle and WJAR-TV, Providence. Recognized as a competitive and versatile reporter, Richardson returned to WCVB and has covered Boston news for much of the past decade. While at WPBF-TV, West Palm Beach, Sean Kelly worked the political and national beat. He covered major stories including the Terri Schiavo case and the numerous hurricanes devastating Florida in the past few years.
