Veronica Haynes joined TheBostonChannel.com staff in 2003 after working for ABC News in Boston writing for ABCNews.com's health section.
Haynes' work at TheBostonChannel.com contributed to the site being awarded the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for Best TV News Web site in the New England region in 2004, 2005 and 2007 by the Radio and Television News Directors Association (RTNDA).In August 2008, Haynes traveled to Louisiana to help provide online coverage of Hurricane Gustav for Hearst-Argyle's national network of news Web sites.In addition to writing for ABCNews.com, Haynes researched and developed stories for ABC News programs, including Good Morning America, 20/20 and World News Tonight. Prior to ABC, Haynes worked with Philadelphia's WPVI-TV's medical unit writing and field producing segments for the station's broadcasts.A native of Massachusetts, Haynes attended Westfield State College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with an emphasis on television production and broadcasting.She and her husband, Greg, live in the Boston area.Haynes can be reached at vhaynes@thebostonchannel.com
