BOSTON -- Todd Kazakiewich joined WCVB-TV Channel 5 in March 2006 as a general assignment reporter. He had been a fill-in reporter with the station for the previous three years.

Kazakiewich joined WCVB from WFSB-TV, Hartford, where he served as a reporter and substitute anchor. He began his broadcast career at WCAX-TV in Burlington, Vt. While at the station, he worked in the production department, master control and news, where he served as an associate producer and substitute anchor.

Kazakiewich initially worked at WVAY-FM, Wilmington, Vt. In 1995 and 1996 he was recognized for Best Commentary by the Vermont Association of Broadcasters/Associated Press.

A Vermont native, Kazakiewich is a graduate of the University of Vermont. He resides in the Boston area.
