New England Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi remained hospitalized Thursday with what one report called a broken blood vessel in his head.

According to an online report, Bruschi suffered a broken blood vessel in his head. The report cited an unnamed Patriots team source for the information.

The 31-year-old was admitted to Massachusetts General Hospital Wednesday.

Patriots spokesman Stacy James released a statement saying: "After complaining of headaches earlier today, Tedy Bruschi was admitted (to MGH). He is in good condition and will be held for further evaluations." James said Bruschi would be undergoing further testing Thursday.

Although some media reports have indicated Bruschi may have suffered a stroke, doctors have not confirmed anything about his condition.

The 911 call from Bruschi's wife, Heidi, was released Thursday:

"911. What is the emergency?" asked the 911 dispatcher.

"Hi. I need an ambulance to take my husband to Mass General," said Heidi Bruschi.

"Mass General. What is the problem?" asked the 911 dispatcher.

"He is having blurred vision and numbness on the right side of his body," said Heidi Bruschi.

"They won't be going to Mass General -- I can tell you that much," said the 911 dispatcher.

" ... the doctor said ... can you come now?" asked Heidi Bruschi.

"If he is having blurred vision, he is going to Sturdy (Hospital)," said the 911 dispatcher.

Bruschi returned Monday from playing in the Pro Bowl in Hawaii. Officials hoped he would be released from the hospital Thursday afternoon, but doctors said that he would go through extensive testing at MGH.

Bruschi made a key interception in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl XXXIX a little more than a week ago, helping to lead his team to a 24-21 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles -- the third Super Bowl win in four years. He then flew to Boston for the team's victory parade before jetting off to Hawaii for his first appearance in the Pro Bowl in Hawaii, in which he played on Sunday.

A graduate of the University of Arizona, Bruschi was a third-round draft pick in 1996. The nine-year veteran of the NFL is a big favorite of Patriots fans. He has two sons, ages 2 and 4, and a newborn, delivered by his wife in December as he prepared for the NFL playoffs.
