American League Playoff Game Summary - Minnesota At New York

Bronx, NY -- Derek Jeter scored on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 12th inning to lift New York to a 7-6 win over the Minnesota Twins in Game 2 of a best-of-five American League Division Series at Yankee Stadium. Jeter scored on Hideki Matsui's sacrifice fly to right field and the Yankees evened the series with Game 3 slated for Friday night at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Alex Rodriguez, who tied the game earlier in the 12th with a ground-rule double, finished 4-for-6 with a home run and three RBI. Gary Sheffield belted a two-run homer and Jeter added a solo shot in the win.
Torii Hunter homered in the top of the 12th and Justin Morneau drove in a pair of runs for Minnesota. Hunter ended with three hits and three runs scored.
