NCAA Game Summary - Providence At Northeastern

Boston, MA -- (Sports Network) - Sharaud Curry scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Providence Friars to a 76-72 win over the Northeastern Huskies in a non-league affair at Matthews Arena. Jamine Peterson also added 18 points and nine rebounds for the Friars (5-2), while Bilal Dixon and Vincent Council chipped in with 11 points in the win. Marshon Brooks also got involved, scoring 10 points for Providence. The Huskies (2-3) were paced by Matt Janning, who scored 18 points in a losing effort. Manny Adako also got involved by scoring 14 points, while Chaisson Allen netted 13 points for Northeastern. Nkem Ojougboh added 12 points and 13 rebounds. The Friars took control of the contest in the first half, shooting 51.1 percent from the floor to take a 40-29 lead at the break. Providence managed to hold off a Northeastern push in the second stanza, knocking down 14-of-22 shots from the field en route to a four-point win.
