Fans can watch talented baseball players from the Dominican Republic this month without paying Major League prices.

The first New England Latino Baseball Series, a group of games featuring top Latino athletes, will be played during the month of July.

A team of collegiate baseball players from the Dominican Republic, the Dominican All-Stars, is touring New England. They play seven Massachusetts and Connecticut teams from the New England Collegiate Baseball League during the 10-day trip.

The tour began Sunday as the Dominican All-Stars traveled to Great Barrington to play the Pittsfield Dukes. The tour also features stops in Boston, Lynn, Holyoke, Lowell and several Connecticut parks.

A portion of admission tickets will be donated to Good Sports Foundation, an organization that provides equipment, uniforms and other team expenses for Latino youth, allowing them to better integrate with American culture.

The series is sponsored by Nokona Sporting Goods and was organized by local Latino leaders, former baseball players and sports entrepreneurs.
