Several people were arrested during the rolling rally in Boston Thursday that celebrated the Celtics 2008 NBA Championship win.

Twenty-one people were placed under arrest during the celebration, according to the Boston Police Department. One man was arrested after he climbed on top of a piece of construction equipment near Copley Plaza. The other 20 people were arrested for disorderly conduct, according to police.

Police presence was high along the parade route from Boston's North End to the Back Bay. Before the parade, Police Commissioner Ed Davis said police would be looking out for drunken behavior and disorderly conduct.

Police asked that parents talk with young people about coming into Boston for the parade and said that public and underage drinking would not be tolerated.

After the Celtics Game 6 win on Tuesday, 23 people were arrested, most for disorderly conduct, as thousands of excited fans streamed out of the TD Banknorth Garden, some climbing poles, others smashing windows near Canal Street.

Scores of officers armed with riot gear kept the crowds moving, but officers said most were well-behaved.
