Manny Ramirez is making a pitch for charity.

He paid a visit to the kids at the Franciscan Hospital for Children Saturday, and in addition to the visit, he also donated one of his cars.

The left fielder said he is excited to make a difference in children’s lives.

“This is something that you’re doing from the bottom of the heart, and you’re doing it for people that really need it, so that’s why I came, and that’s why I’m doing it,” said Ramirez.

Manny’s custom-built 1967 Lincoln Continental convertible is being auctioned on EBay. All of the proceeds will go to the hospital.

“We always hear the expression ‘Manny being Manny’, and ‘Manny being Manny’ for the kids at this hospital means something entirely different for the rest of their lives,” said Steven Snyder from the Franciscan Hospital for Children.

As of Saturday afternoon, after 36 bids, the current price for the car on EBay was at $49,600.

The listing also says the top bidder will find special autographed sports memorabilia in the trunk.

Bidding ends on Monday, Feb. 18.
