Boston Celtics guard Ray Allen may not play in Wednesday night's game against Charlotte because of numbness in his right hand.

SportsCenter 5's Mike Dowling reported that Allen may be out of the game because a pinched nerve in his neck is causing the numbness. He had an MRI to look further into the injury and coach Doc Rivers does not expect him to play in the upcoming game.

Rookie forward Glen Davis may also be sidelined for the game because of a sore knee. Davis was injured in last weekend's game against Detroit in which he scored a career-high 20 points against the Pistons, helping the Celtics to a 92-85 win over Detroit and extending their winning streak to nine games.

He played through the injury, the Celtics said, but it became much more sore over the past few days. Rivers said he is also doubtful for the Charlotte game.
