  • Be Sure Your Doctor & Pharmacist Are Aware of All Medications You Are Taking including the name and strength and any over-the-counter or herbal remedies. This helps prevent harmful interactions between a new medication and one you are already taking.
  • Alert Your Doctors and Pharmacists to any Medication Allergies or Bad Reactions you may have had in the past to avoid medications that may cause a dangerous reaction.
  • Check the Labels On All Your Medications At Least Once a Year. Medications that are past their expiration date, that have a change in color or smell, or that you are no longer taking should be disposed of properly. Expired medications may not work as well for you or may even be harmful.
