When New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick takes the field on Super Bowl Sunday, he won't be wearing his red hoodie.

That's the word from the top gal in Belichick's life, Linda Holliday, who admits she is a bit superstitious. During an appearance on NewsCenter 5's Midday News Wednesday with Bianca Wilfork, wife of Pat's defensive tackle Vince Wilfork, Holliday said the super coach has assured her he will wear either his usual drab gray or drab blue hoodie to the big game.

As any longtime Pats fan knows, Belichick deviated from his normal attire during the last Patriots Super Bowl with the Giants in 2008 and the results were not good. The Patriots lost 17-14. Diehard fans even created Facebook pages devoted to the infamous red hoodie.

Holliday said there is a different side to Belichick when he's off the field. She said he has a dry sense of humor and loves a good joke.

Both women said they're excited about the team's upcoming trip to Indianapolis for the Super Bowl. Bianca Wilfork said she and her star linebacker have a regular tradition before he hits the field.

"Vince and I usually spend as much time as we can together in the hotel and we make sure we kiss before he leaves," she said. "We usually just kind of take in the whole atmosphere and relax and just rest up before the game and enjoy the moment."

Holliday, a co-host for Styleboston, said being at the games can be nerve-wracking because you have no control over anything on the field, and wives and girlfriends worry about the safety of their players.

After last weekend's big win over the Baltimore Ravens for the AFC championship title, Holliday said, Belichick turned to look at her and she just burst into tears of happiness.

"I just started crying. It's like -- 18 games and we're here. It's absolutely unbelievable and surreal, and our feet haven't touched the ground yet," Holliday said.

Both women said they're too superstitious to talk about the outcome of the Super Bowl, but both said they will go with the memory of owner Robert Kraft's wife, Myra, in their hearts.
