Jack E. Robinson is a Republican running for the U.S. Senate seat left vacant by Sen. Edward Kennedy.

Robinson, a Duxbury resident, founded his own cell phone company.

He ran for U.S. Senate in 2000 against Kennedy and Carla Howell. He also ran for state secretary in 2002, losing to William Galvin and a state representative, losing to Stephen Lynch.

Robinson graduated from Brown University and received law and business degrees from Harvard University.
