BOSTON -- A former mayor of Lynn died at his home Friday, according to the Daily Item of Lynn.

Patrick J. McManus, 54, served as the mayor of Lynn from 1992 to 2001. Police said that they received a 911 call from his Baltimore Street home shortly before 9:30 a.m.

Few details were released regarding McManus' death.
