Montreal, QC -- (Sports Network) - The Montreal Canadiens signed defenseman Jaroslav Spacek to a three-year contract on Wednesday. No further terms of the deal were disclosed.

Spacek has spent the past three seasons with Buffalo, and in the 2008-09 campaign he had eight goals and 37 assists along with a plus-two rating over 80 games.

Over his 10 seasons in the NHL, which has included stops in Florida, Chicago, Columbus and Edmonton, he has 73 goals and 230 assists along with a plus-25 rating over 701 games.
