Berea, OH -- (Sports Network) - Cleveland Browns linebacker Eric Barton was placed on injured reserve, the team announced on Tuesday.

A starter in eight games for the Browns this season, Barton suffered an undisclosed injury in Cleveland's 30-6 loss at Chicago on November 1. The Browns had a bye this past weekend.

The 11-year veteran had a team-best 58 tackles to go along with a fumble recovery and two passes defensed this season.

In other roster moves, the Browns released wide receiver Darnell Jenkins from the practice squad and signed running back Thomas Brown to the practice roster.
