Jamy Pombo, Senior Web Editor

Boston Channel Web editor Jamy Pombo has been with the Web site since its launch in March 2000, and started "The Click" reports for WCVB-TV in January 2005.

Pombo's work at TheBostonChannel.com contributed to the site being awarded the prestigious Edward R. Murrow award for Best TV News Web site in the New England region in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, and 2009 by the Radio and Television News Directors Association. (RTNDA)

The Web site was also recognized with a national Headliner's Award in 2008 and the Associated Press award for best Web site in New England in 2009.

Pombo researched and reported technology stories for "The Click," which aired on WCVB-TV. She also worked as a news writer for NewsCenter 5 and a production assistant for Hearst-Argyle's "Healthy Kids" program.

Before joining WCVB, Pombo worked as a sales and real estate agent in the Boston area and for U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts.

A native of New Jersey, Pombo attended the Boston University College of Communication where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mass Communication with an emphasis on broadcast journalism. She was also honored with the National Honor Society Golden Key award and the 1995 Lumont Award for Best Television Advertising.

She lives in the Boston area with her husband and son.
