Hot dogs, hamburgers, steak tips and corn on the cob -- Fourth of July menus haven't changed, but prices sure have.

NewsCenter 5's Pam Cross picked up just a few cookout basics -- a pound of ground beef for patties and eight all beef hot dogs.

Toss in American cheese for the burgers and rolls for both meats, then add a pound of chips and you've got simple cookout fare at a pretty penny.

The burgers were up only 1 percent from last summer. The cheese is 4 percent more. Bread is the real deal breaker; an eight-pack of rolls was $3.19 -- that's up 17 percent from last summer.

Tossing it on the grill will cost more if you use gas because propane costs are also up. Last summer, 20 pounds was $17. This holiday get ready to fork over $19.
