Three People Placed Under Arrest

BOSTON --

Three people were arrested Wednesday after gun shots were fired outside a court house in Dorchester.

There were no injuries reported in the incident that took place outside Dorchester District Court at about 11 a.m.

The identities of the men arrested were not released.

Police said they recovered the gun and several bullet casings used in the shooting.

One witness said the shooting followed an altercation that started inside the courthouse.

"(It began) in the hallway and they told them to take it outside. So, what can you do?" the witness said.

Investigators are analyzing a bullet hole found in the building to determine if it was a result of Wednesday's incident.

The three man could be arraigned at the same courthouse on Thursday.
