BOSTON -- Neighbors and friends are remembering the Jamaica Plain woman who died in the Interstate 90 tunnel ceiling collapse late Monday night.NewsCenter 5's Amalia Barreda reported that Milena Delvalle, 38, was killed and her husband Angel Delvalle, 46, survived the accident with minor injuries.Neighbors said the couple was married for about three years and lived in a third-floor apartment on Westerly Street.Family members said the couple was on their way to Logan International Airport to pick up Delvalle's brother and sister-in-law at the time of the accident.Angel Delvalle works in the meat department of local grocery store, Hi-Lo Foods."He is a great guy, great guy. He is quiet, comes in every day. Everyone likes the guy, very friendly," said store manager Bill Jordan."I am very disgusted with what is going on with the tunnel. I just passed through it the other day and I don’t think I want to go through it again. It is just terrible the way they screwed it all up. I don’t know. There is something funny going on with the work going on in that tunnel. It is not the first section to fall, and, obviously, this time, it is a huge section that took somebody's life," said shopper Elliott Roman.Family members said Milena Delvalle is from Costa Rica, where she has three children. Her husband plans to send her body back to Costa Rica for burial."She was very happy, friendly, very special, very active in the community and church. She was very special," said the Rev. Cesar DePaz, of the Hispanic Community Church."We met her before she came here. She was a member in Costa Rica in our church, too," said the Rev. Lisa DePaz, of the Hispanic Community Church.Officials said a steel tieback that held the ceiling panel in place gave way, allowing the panel to fall onto traffic below.
