Two men are under arrest after a violent home invasion in Peabody early Wednesday morning.

NewsCenter 5's Jack Harper reported that Wanda Lisk, 76, was allegedly attacked during the break-in on Daniel Terrace at about 3:30 a.m.

Peabody police said the attack was not random.

"I twisted the guy's finger and then he really gave me both hands," Lisk said.

Still shaking, Lisk remembered being jumped and beaten in her home of 46 years. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

"I was upstairs on the couch and then I saw a flash of light and I sat up on the couch and he jumped on me," she said.

Peabody police said Richard Turner, 19, of Beverly, and Joshua Geggatt, 21, of Danvers, were trying to settle a score with the victim's grandson.

"I didn't put my hands on anyone," said Geggatt.

"Why? Why? What have I done? Just rob the house and go. But they just kept beating me," Lisk said.

Lisk said the men entered her home through a basement window.

"She is pretty well banged up, you know? It was cruel thing to do to a 76-year-old woman. She told me that they were inside the house, and they threw a blanket over her, and one sat on her and continuously kept hitting her and the other person ransacked the house. It is devastating," said the victim's son, Fred Lisk.

The alleged attackers were ordered held without bail Wednesday.

"He wouldn't hurt a woman. He would not do that," said Geggatt's girlfriend, Susan Lathrop.

Lisk will be staying with family and friends.
