Family Searches For Missing Teen
Man Missing Since Friday
KINGSTON, Mass. -- Family and friends are searching for a 19-year-old Kingston man who has been missing since Friday.
NewsCenter 5's Rhondella Richardson reports that Jonathan Rizzo left work Friday planning to meet some friends, but he never showed up. Now, about 100 family and friends have organized a search for the man."It's just totally out of character for Jonathan to be gone," family friend Marilyn Stanton said. "(His mother) misses him. She wants him home."Rizzo left work at Plymouth's Weathervane restaurant just before 9 p.m. Friday. He did not meet his friends as planned, and he didn't show up at work on Saturday or Sunday."It's been very difficult," father Michael Rizzo said. "My wife especially. She's especially close to Jonathan, and it's very hard for her."The family home was turned into search headquarters. The family is sharing all of their photos of Jonathan Rizzo, hoping for some lead. He was driving a 1994 metallic-blue, four-door Volkswagen Jetta, with Massachusetts plate 2941DF."We're kind of breaking up the towns into grids, different boxes and sending teams of people out, looking around to see if anybody sees anything, because right now we don't know anything," best friend Paul Kennedy said."For him not to call work or any of his friends for three days, it's as close to impossible as I can get," his father said.Police said that there is not any evidence of foul play, but there are also no clues as to Rizzo's whereabouts. Anyone with any information is asked to call (781) 585-0522.
