BOSTON -- Key dates in the deaths of Rachel Entwistle, 27, and her 9-month-old daughter, Lillian:Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006: Rachel Entwistle talks with family members for the last time. Friday, Jan. 20, 2006: The next morning, prosecutors say, Neil Entwistle shoots his wife and baby. Friday, Jan. 20, 2006: Later that day, prosecutors say, Neil drives to Carver to return the handgun while his mother-in-law and father-in-law are at work. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006: Neil arrives at Logan Airport in his BMW. At 5 a.m., he calls British Airways and uses a credit card to buy a one-way ticket home to England. At 8:15 a.m., Neil's flight leaves Boston. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006: Friends arrive at the Entwistle's Hopkinton house for dinner. No one answers the door. It's locked. One friend calls Rachel's mother, who then calls police. Officers enter the house, but find nothing. Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006: Rachel's family and friends return to the house Sunday to search it themselves. They look in the bedroom, but find nothing. Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006: At 5 p.m., Rachel's parents file a missing person's report with Hopkinton police. That night, police return to the home and discover the bodies of Rachel and Lillian under a pile of blankets in the bedroom. Monday, Jan. 23, 2006: Police locate the Entwistle's BMW at Logan Airport. That same day, Neil calls his father-in-law in Carver. Prosecutors say, they discuss the deaths. Friday, Jan. 27, 2006: One week from the day that prosecutors believe Rachel and Lillian were murdered, Neil leaves his parents' house in Worksop and heads to London where detectives are waiting. Saturday. Jan. 28, 2006: A newspaper obituary for Rachel and Lillian does not mention Neil. Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006: The next day, Rachel's family releases its first public statement. Again, no mention of Neil. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006: Neil leaves his family's house in England for an undisclosed location. Meanwhile, in Kingston, a wake is held for Rachel and Lillian. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006: Rachel and Lillian are buried in the same casket. Neil does not attend the funeral. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006: Middlesex County District Attorney's Office issues a warrant for Neil's arrest for the murder of his wife and daughter. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006: Neil is arrested in England and charged with the murders of Rachel and Lillian. March 28, 2006: Neil Entwistle indicted on murder charges by grand jury. April 11, 2006: Neil Entwistle pleads not guilty to murder, weapons charges.
