2006 BOSTON -- The Natick Mall was evacuated Wednesday after a construction crew punctured a gas line at the site of a new development near the shopping plaza in Natick, Mass.A construction crew working on Flutie Pass punctured the gas line at about 9 a.m. outside the Sears store, according to police. As a precaution the mall was evacuated. Only mall workers were inside the building at the time of the incident.NStar crews were able to secure the gas leak, and the mall was reopened.
