High 5: Wayland Diver Jen Rhines
Warrior Junior Is State's Best Off The Board
The High 5 Athlete for Friday, March 30, is Wayland High junior Jennifer Rhines (pictured, left), who followed in her older sister's footsteps by becoming the Massachusetts State diving champion.
SportsCenter 5's Mike Lynch is well aware how good the Warriors swim program has been over the years, and was mighty impressed with Rhines' drive and determination.
"I just love diving so much," Rhines told Lynch. "I'm so glad I did it. I wish I started it earlier than I did. I tell everyone, if they want to go out and do something, to just go for it."
Rhines had such an outstanding season, she is being considered for high school All-American status. But the highlight of her season so far was winning the state title.
