Dartmouth Murder Documents To Be Released

Suspect Waives Probable Cause Hearing

Some documents will be released in the murder case of two Dartmouth professors, but not all that media groups wanted. Robert Tulloch Video Watch Jack Harper's Report NewsCenter 5's Jack Harper reports that media attorneys won the release of portions of some documents, including affidavits, search warrants and arrest warrants. Much of the material is expected to be blocked out when it is released Thursday morning. Investigators and prosecutors have still not given any indication of a motive in the stabbing deaths of Half and Susanna Zantop. Robert Tulloch, 17, and James Parker, 16, have been arrested and charged with the crime. Some answers were expected Wednesday morning at a probable cause hearing for Tulloch, but he signed a waiver of the hearing. The documents that will be released do not include much of the evidence, as officials said that the investigation is ongoing. "With respect to other portions of the material, the state has articulated to the court its concern about the ongoing nature of this investigation and its concern that the release of that information could affect the ongoing investigation," Assistant Attorney General Will Delkin said. Which their suspects locked away, Delkin confirmed the existence of new forensic evidence, which he said necessitates withholding some of the information. "It's the opportunity for some of our investigators to speak with some individuals, and this is common in some investigations," he said. Tulloch will next be in court in North Haverhill, N.H., for his arraignment in the superior court system after his indictment. That is expected to be a couple of weeks away. Previous Stories:
