Seventeen-year-old Robert Tulloch's case now moves to Grafton
County Superior Court.
Tulloch and 16-year-old James Parker are charged with
first-degree murder in the Jan. 27 stabbing deaths of Susanne
and Half Zantop in their Hanover, N.H., home.
Also Wednesday, the Lebanon District Court has scheduled a closed
hearing on whether to release search and arrest warrant
records. The records hearing will be held on the state's request
that Judge Albert Cirone reconsider his decision to release
additional documents.
Cirone said last week that he would release the documents if the
state did not appeal, which prosecutors say they will do if their
motion to reconsider is denied.
Bill Chapman is representing the media outlets that want the documents released. He said that the public, under New Hampshire law, has a presumptive right to know more about the case.
"The court has made it very clear that it's not the decision of the court to tell the public what it should or should not know -- that's for the public to decide," Chapman said. "That's why this information should be made available to the public unless the state can come forward with very specific reasons why it needs to keep the information sealed."
