2005 BOSTON -- The Massachusetts Society For The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said it was overwhelmed with generous responses to its call for help in the case of an ailing puppy. Daisy, a 9-week-old pooch, is suffering from a congenital heart defect. The Boston MSPCA was hoping to raise $4,000 to pay for Daisy's heart operation, which she needed to stay alive. So far, more than $25,000 has been raised. Daisy will get her operation and the leftover cash will go to other animals that are in need of medical operations. Previous Stories:
