Officials continued to search Friday for suspects involved in a brazen credit card scam.

NewsCenter 5's David Boeri reported that the alleged thieves were caught on surveillance video.

"We had a family come up to the Nashoba Valley Tubing Park here in Littleton for the day. The wife left her purse in the car," Littleton Police Department Detective Jeff Patterson said.

By the time the family realized that they returned home without the purse, the credit card had been used at an ATM machine. Someone had taken out $300. The woman had her PIN number in her wallet.

"They were figuring that there must be a limit as to what they could get out, so they did two withdrawals," Patterson said.

Police said that the thieves then went to Woburn, Mass.

"They purchased a laptop and a protection plan for the laptop at the OfficeMax," Patterson said.

They charged $2,000 at the store. The pair then went to Staples, where they were captured on videotape.

"They purchased a laser printer and cartridges for the laser printer," Patterson said. "They used (the card) and got what they could, some high-end equipment that they know they can turn around and sell easily. They probably got rid of the card and moved on to other victims."
