Stuck with a corporate name that doesn't exist anymore, the FleetCenter is looking for a new moniker. How about yours?

NewsCenter 5's David Boeri reported that the center is auctioning off single-day naming rights on eBay, an online auction Web site.

After spending $140 million to put its name on the football field for the Carolina Panthers, Bank of America, which bought Fleet, is not interested in putting its name on the FleetCenter. The center's owner, Delaware North Companies, is looking for a company to buy permanent naming rights.

"You own it for the day. It is your building. You can come in any time you want. We will give you an office; you get floor seats for the event that night. We are going to put out a press release with your name on it," said FleetCenter Chief Executive Officer Richard Krezwick.

There have been hundreds of bids already for game days and dark days until the end of February.

"You will walk away with something to hang on your wall forever. It was your center for the day," said Krezwick.

So far, the high bid for the first day up for grabs, Feb. 16, is more than $6,100. The proceeds from the auctions will be given to charity.
