A decade ago, journalist (and former WCVB anchor) Jay Schadler bought his dream home on Plum Island, drawn by its sparkling views, funky ambience, and relatively affordable real estate prices.

Now, those prices have gone through the roof, the island has a more gentrified feel, and Schadler is selling his home. But he hasn't lost his love for the island.

Tonight, Ted Reinstein discovers why so many people have fallen under the spell of this North Shore jewel.
