A new tell-all book by a man who claims to have had an ongoing affair with Carolyn Bessette Kennedy is expected to hit the stores Tuesday.

A and E will air an interview Monday wth author Michael Bergin.

Bergin -- a model and star of "Baywatch" -- said that he was also the love of Bessette, before and after her relationship with John F. Kennedy Jr. He said that when Kennedy started pursuing Bessette, she turned to Bergin.

"She would tell me every day John called again and would reassure me she had absolutely no feelings for him at all and would never be involved with him," Bergin said.

Bergin describes in his book the heartbreak he endured when Kennedy and Bessette tied the knot. Rumors swirled about the supposed love triangle, but Bergin said that Bessette feared Kennedy was cheating on her.

"She asked me to save her. She doesn't want to be with John, she wants to be with me," Bergin said.

He claimed that the affair rekindled when she flew to visit him in less than a year after her marriage. Bergin said that he had to write the book to protect and defend himself and the love of his life.

"I never really got a chance to say goodbye," he said.

Bergin will tell his story on "Good Morning America," Tuesday, and he'll answer your e-mailed questions about the new revelations in his book.
