A male employee at a local Wendy's restaurant has filed a discrimination complaint against his female supervisor after a recent strip search hoax.

NewsCenter 5's Pam Cross reported that the man, whose primary language is Portuguese, said he was "confused and frightened" when his supervisor ordered him into her office and told him to strip naked.

A lawyer for the man, 24, filed a suit with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination Thursday.

The man worked at the Abington Wendy's since 2001.

According to documents filed Thursday, the man said he was called into the office of his manager, Carry, last week and was told that there "was money missing from a customer's purse. She told me she was on the phone with the police."

He said Carry told him that the police wanted him to take off his clothes.

"I was very afraid and began to do as she instructed because I was afraid I was going to be arrested," the man said in the complaint.

The complaint also accused the manager of touching the employee "inappropriately."

The man said the caller told the manager to perform a sex act, but instead, she ran out of the office.

In his statement the man said his English was "not good" and he called a friend who instructed him to contact police.

Reportedly, the worker was still partially undressed when the officers arrived.

Police say a prank caller pretended to be a police officer and instructed supervisors to search workers suspected of stealing from customers. Similar incidents were reported in Whitman, Abington and West Bridgewater.

So far, no arrests have been made.
