BOSTON -- Malden and State Police were investigating a fatal shooting that took place early Sunday morning.

Police were called to the area of Eastern Avenue and Wyeth Street at about 12:35 a.m. for reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found Cory Disciscio, 21, of Stoneham, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Disciscio was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office was conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the death.

Authorities said the shooting appeared to be an isolated incident.

No arrests have been made at this time.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
