BOSTON -- Cambridge police said four people were stabbed after a fight broke out at an overcrowded nightclub on Western Avenue Friday night.

They said the brawl broke out about 12:40 p.m. at the Western Front club at 343 Western Ave.

Officers said there appeared to be an overcrowding issue during a hip-hop concert at the club, Wicked Local Cambridge reported.

Three males and a female were injured, three with non-life-threatening injuries. Their identities were not immediately released.

Police said the incident would be referred to the city licensing commission.
