BOSTON -- A woman parked in a handicapped spot crashed her car into a liquor store in Plymouth early Thursday, police said.

The driver drove her Toyota Corolla into Luke’s Liquors store at 736 State Road in Plymouth around 8:30 a.m., officers said

According to a store employee at the scene, the female operator was parked in a handicap parking space when she apparently had the vehicle in reverse and hit the gas pedal.

The building sustained substantial damage as the vehicle went through a side wall. The extent of the driver’s injuries was unknown and no identities were released.

Plymouth Police were investigating the crash. It was not clear whether charges would be filed.
