Tom Hamilton Throws Out First Pitch At Fenway

BOSTON -- Aerosmith lead guitarist Joe Perry is dong well after a motorcycle crash Thursday, according to band bassist Tom Hamilton."He's doing well. He's pretty shaken up because he had kind of a scary experience, but he's not really injured," Hamilton said.Hamilton, who threw out the first pitch at Fenway Park Friday night, said that Perry, who lives in Duxbury, should be fine. "I think he's pretty sore today, but OK."Perry, 59, was driving a 2009 Ducati motorcycle on Route 44 when he was rear-ended by a car. He was released after treatment at a local hospital.Aerosmith will play Fenway on Aug. 14, along with the J. Geils Band.Hamilton and the band is just coming off the South American and European part of a tour."It was really overwhelming, we had a blast. The band hasn't played this well ever. All the years of practice are finally proving to be useful," he said with a laugh.Aerosmith's United States tour begins next week."I'm on stage, looking out, and the majority of the audience is in their teens and 20s. I'll be very interested to see how the audience looks when we do the American dates," Hamilton said.
