Van Stolen With Sleeping Children Inside
Kids Not Harmed In Worcester Incident

BOSTON -- Two men were accused of stealing a van in Worcester Monday morning while two young children slept in the back seat.Police were called to a gas station at 185 Madison St. at about 5:30 a.m., where a man had just pulled his van into the station, according to the Worcester Telegram and Gazette.The man went into the store, leaving his children asleep in the van. Two people walked over to his vehicle, and a person inside the store told the man his van was being stolen.The van was later found parked at the corner of Lafayette and Scott streets, and the children were inside, unharmed, the Telegram reported.Jaime Collazo, 36, and Christopher Colecchi, 28, both of Worcester, were arrested and charged with kidnapping and larceny of a motor vehicle charges.Collazo's attorney told the Telegram that his client was being overcharged and that "whoever took that car, as soon as they saw someone inside they got out."
