POSTED: 12:51 pm EDT March 24, 2010
BOSTON -- A local designer is hoping to hit a home run by combining fashion with sports. Vintage Blue is inspired by women's professional baseball and has a hip, eco-conscious twist. We’ll meet creator and designer Liza Goncalves Richardson.Plus, the Bakon sisters of Boston believe fashion sense is innate. Ophelia, Wanda and Evelyn Bakon have worked side by side in their downtown boutique since the 1980s, and explain their reasons for long-term success. And fashion model Stephanie Barbosa felt lucky to get her start in the fashion world, gracing the runways of Carolina Herrera, L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani, and Adidas. But she says her career as a model of color hasn’t always been easy. We’ll also talk to Jeff Lahens, co-founder and Chief Designer of ECC Life and Style in Boston, where he creates, from scratch, bespoke and custom luxury menswear for some of Boston's biggest celebrities.
