A Marlborough man accused of stabbing and robbing a woman in Hudson on Wednesday was already under house arrest for stabbing a man two years ago, the MetroWest Daily News reported.

Juan G. Lopez, 23, had been sentenced in January to three years' probation, a year of house arrest and was ordered to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet for stabbing a Framingham man in November 2008.

"I've decided you are worthy of rehabilitation," Judge Elizabeth Fahey said at his sentencing. "If you mess up any one term of your probation, it could be revoked and you could go to prison for up to 15 years."

On Wednesday, police said, Lopez walked up to a woman on Main Street in Hudson, slashed her face with a knife and stole her cell phone.

Lopez was arrested minutes later, carrying a small folding knife and the woman's cell phone, the newspaper reported. He was charged with armed robbery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

At Lopez's arraignment on the new charges, Judge Robert Greco ordered him held without bail.
